Overview :

 

This impressive add-on allows admin to send push notification directly to browser. Subscribed user gets pop-up message on device even when he is not active on the site. This improves the user engagement and retention.

 

Features :

 

• -> No monthly subscription required to notify customers. Its a one time purchase add-on.
• -> Works well with mozilla firefox and chrome browsers.
• -> Designed to work with the SSL certificate websites .
• -> No monthly subscription required to notify customers.
• -> Unlimited number of customers can subscribe to your site.
• -> Functionality to create and delete notifications at admin end.
• -> Option to add icon and target URL for notifications.
• -> Allows notification to all subscribed user as per the configuration made at admin end.
• -> Functionality to view and delete the notification logs.

 

Compatibility :

 

Compatible with CS-Cart 4.3.x

 

 

Global Settings :

 

Once the add-on is installed , click on “Settings” 

Enter the Sender id and  Web API Key for Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).

 

Back End View :

 

Go to “Marketing” tab and click on “Web Push Notification” as shown below.

 

 

Click on “+” button to add a notification.Enter the following parameters to create a notification as shown below in the snapshot.

 

• -> Enter the title of notification.
• -> Write down the notification messages.
• -> Click on “Local” to add an icon.
• -> Enter the target url for the notification.
• -> Click on “Create” button to add the notification.

 

 

Notifications added will be listed under Web Push Notifications as shown below.

 

• -> Click on the dropdown to “Edit” or “Delete” the notification.
• -> Click on “Notify” to send notification. Statistics alert will appear for sent notification as shown below.

 

 

Notification Logs Management:

 

Go to “Marketing” tab and click on “Push Notification Log” to view the logs. All the logs will be listed as shown below. 

 

 

Subscribers Management :

 

Go to “Marketing” tab and click on “Subscribers” to view the subscribers.

 

 

Front End View :

 

Once the user opens the store front, a pop up is originated as shown in below snapshot.

Click on “Allow” button to allow the notification. On allowing user will get subscribed to receive the notifications.

 

 

 

 

 And this is how user will get ntified even when he is not actively using the store.

Regarding your query would like to mention that you can create and send any kind of custom notification to unlimited number of subscribers. No monthly subscription is required to send notifications. Its just a one time purchase add-on.

The current add-on version only works with the Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browser but does not work for iOS, Safari, IE Edge or any other browsers. If you need it for these browsers then, we would be glad to customize it for you. Please feel free to write us at support@webkul.com for a quick response.

Demo doesnt ask any permission on safari? Addon is active?

Is there a way to associate a browser registration ID with a customer based on cookies or any other data?  It would be really handy to be able to segment your users based on criteria like # of visits, users who have never made a purchase, users who have viewed specific products, etc.

Yes, Add-on is active & it asks for the permission. There might be a possibility that in your notification preferences in Safari browser, there is already a listing for this demo website you have allowed or denied. 

Please check the following steps- 

open Safari, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Notifications.

If the site is listed there as shown in the below snapshot then select & remove the website and try it again.

Currently, the Web Push add-on works just for the Safari Browsers on the Mac devices but not on the iOS devices. Will add this feature in our upcoming upgrades.
