Help - CS-Cart crashed

We tried to run the upgrade and the cart has crashed. The data is still on the server. My tech person has asked me to try to find out which directory the orders are stored in so he can try to save the information for me. I believe his plan is to save all the data he can, delete everything else and run a fresh install.

When I try to access admin, I get the following. Any help would be most appreciated.

Susan

--------------------

Error: Can’t write template cache in the directory: /home/httpd/vhosts/saddleuptack.com/httpsdocs/var/compiled/admin.

Please check if it exists, and has writable permissions.

It sounds like you just need to chmod that directory to 777.

As soon as the directory was chmod’d to 777 something got loose and took down the server. The OS has been reloaded and the server files are now being restored… WITHOUT any CSCart files.

Does anyone have any suggestions or answers? The server owner has indicated that they will not permit CS-Cart to be reloaded onto their server.

Maybe you were a victim of that last vulnerability. If so explain to your hosting provider that any third party script that you use as a shopping cart is probably going to have vulnerabilities.
