Custom Sized Product

We sell band saw blades that are made to order.

Ideally the customer would select the a required blade from the options box and then enter the length in another field and CS Cart works out the price.

Can CS-cart work out a price based on a per meter rate (and if possible add a joining charge)?

Yes, you can have first option of blade type, where the choose from a select box.

Then add another option of say Length, where you add all lengths avaialble, 1m, 2m, 3m, etc each with a price modifier to add the extra price per metre, then finally, a 3rd option to add a joining charge.

Probably best to use the "sequential option feature"

and if you have the same option for many blades you can do them all globally or via import export

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately I need to be able to sell the blades at increments of 1 mm.

Please have a look how another supplier as solved this. http://www.bandsaw.co.nz/products-shop/category/69-10-mm-carbon-blades

First you select the right product, then you enter the required length. The price is shown and you can now select the quantity. Is that possible with cscart?

Unfortunately it is impossible with default CS-Cart. However we can develop modification for you. Please contact us through "Quote request" on our website.

Thank you.

yes, go to the item, then click on Options tab-->add option

On the general tab, give you variant a name, where it says "type" select text then scroll to the bottom and tick "required" then save

EDIT, sorry, ignore my post...Ecoms is correct, you'll have to get something developed. I use Ecoms quite often, i can vouch for them, they're really good.
