Hi,

As of today shipping calculations for the Australian Post Real time calculation displays an internal server error on my site. It seems that the old API is no longer working.

I see a bug request in tracker.  However no indication of when this will be resolved.

I have raised a help desk ticket however I am wondering if any other Aussie stores are having the same problem and if anyone has a fix ? Quick or otherwise.

Thanks,

Chris

We noticed this too, its a problem with the Australia Post APi, it's on their side not the side of the cart.

You will just have to wait until Australia Post sorts out the issues on its side!

Shouldn't be too long!

The connection to Australia Post is working again but the real time shipping calculation in cs-cart is outdated.

Australia Post has new services and charges so you can't rely on cs-cart real time shipping to calculate the correct shipping cost especially for international customers.

Thank you for your help. Your right about the pricing,  I have gone back and checked and the cs-cart ones have been wrong. Aus post recently changed all they international post pricing and they are the ones out.

I have decided to do manual postage calcs for now. Hope the cs-cart guys can get it working on the correct API quickly

Does anybody have any ideas when CS-Cart will be fixing the Australia Post API?

Its been a nightmare for us.

If there's a postcode in the world that there also happens to be a corresponding postcode in Australia for, then it will give the customer the local shipping cost  when in fact it is for international shipping!

This means that rates that normally would be $100-200 are showing to the customer for $11-25 which is the local price!

Of course the customer is selecting them!

I posted a bug report in cs-cart bugtracker on the 3rd May.

Australia Post shipping users may get a quicker response from cs-cart about fixing the Australia Post API if they log in and post their questions on the bugtracker.

Has anyone managed to work out a fix for this? We rely on this shipping module 100% and we're having to cancel a lot of orders because of the incorrect shipping methods!

Note that while cs-cart have said they have fixed this, their module still has bugs... :(

Australia Post's new API for international has:

International Post: Courier
International Post: Express

International Post: Standard

International Post: Economy

The only one that seems to work properly is International Post: Courier and International Post:Standard.

If you try and use the International Post:Economy, it wont work past 2kg, but its supposed to work up to 20kg. Changing it in the settings makes no apparent difference, its still locked at 2kg. This is definitely a bug as we send all the time weights up to 20kg.

Umm, the AU Post website says that Economy Air has a max weight of 2kg - so I don't think it's a cart issue.
