Recent Docs: User Guide Updates For 4.3.7 And More

Hello,

It’s time for another update about what’s been happening to our docs lately. Many changes were User Guide improvements related to the release of CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.3.7. However, the last article on the list was written for developers.

Product Identifiers for eBay Synchronization
Last year eBay introduced requirements for product identifiers in certain categories. As a result, products couldn’t be exported to those categories. The support of eBay product identifiers has been added in version 4.3.7, and we now have an article on how to pass product identifiers to eBay.

Custom Email Subject in Forms
The Form Builder add-on allows you to create forms for your customers to fill out. The filled forms are sent to the email of your choice. Before version 4.3.7 the name of the form served as the email subject. Now you can enter the email subject yourself, or let your customers choose or enter it.

Statuses for Shipments
Since CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.3.7 shipments have statuses. This allows you to manage them more efficiently, since you can now filter shipments by status.

A Common Commentary for All Shipping Methods
Administrators have been able to set separate descriptions for shipping methods since version 4.3.6. However, people asked for a way to add a text that was common for all the shipping methods in the store. It is possible in 4.3.7, and this article tells you how to do it.

Multi-Vendor: Terms and Conditions for Applying Vendors
If you use Multi-Vendor, you can allow people to apply for a vendor account. In version 4.3.7 you can set terms and conditions that applying vendors must accept before they can submit their application. We’ve updated this article to reflect that.

Redirecting Customers to the Right Storefront
This article doesn’t have to do anything with 4.3.7 release, but it’s still interesting. If you want to create a storefront for a particular region, you can configure CS-Cart so that customers from that region are redirected to that storefornt.

Product Option Combinations, Variant Icons, and Images
Again, this change wasn’t connected with 4.3.7 release. We’ve added the article about option combinations, that explains what option combinations are and how to manage them. We’ve also reworked the article about option combination images—it now tells how you can add icons for option variants and change the product’s main image when different options are selected, just like on this product page.

For Developers: What Happens when an Add-on is Installed / Uninstalled
There is a new article about what happens when an add-on is installed, uninstalled, activated, or deactivated. The article also describes how the list of add-ons is built.

Please don't post the same question across a bunch of topics. It just muddy's up the forum.

Why is there no forum managers and moderators to clean up the OT junks?
