Latest Version Of Cs Cart Is Affecting Our Gtm And Showing Negative Revenue In Ga

Hi,

We installed the latest version of CS Cart and implemented Google Tag Manager using the Simtech plugin and following this our Google Analytics is now displaying negative revenue in the ecommerce section of GA.

Has this happened before?

Our process is that once someone purchases a product, we then check the product is in stock before completing the sale. Does this have something to do with it?

Thanks

Hi joachimtreasurer,

Do you use Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager?

What order status is set while you check if the product is in stock? How long does this checking take?

What order status is set after checking and if the product is in stock?

This is happening to us as well. We have Google Analytics v1.0 add-on by Simtech, installed on CS Cart 4.3.10.

The Google analytics code is being fired / sent to Google with every Order Status update.
Produces multiple transactions.
Interestingly, some status updates produce negative order value, sent to Google. Not "refund" (as you'd expect).
Example: Customer Orders, sends positive order value transaction to Google Analytics.
Order gets updated to "shipped" status by staff. Sends negative order value transaction to Google Analytics.
Result is 2 transaction events for single transaction ID, revenue $0.

Any ideas?

Please make sure that the Inventory setting for both statuses is set to Decrease
