Good day,

1- my multi vendor store cover the shipping cost

2- the commission we take on the vendor 10%

my problem is , when vendor sell something for 15$ and shipping 1$ , the system tells me i should pay the vendor 16$ ? why im covering the shipping cost not the vendor ?

Because the most common form of Vendor is as the supplier of the product and they usually do the shipping.

Settings -> Vendors -> Include shipping cost in vendors commission

This option has got nothing to do whether the vendor will pay or the store owner.

This option is asking you whether you wanna the system to calculate the commission based on the selling + shipping amount or not

For example:

Your item price with no tax is $15

Your shipping cost with no tax is &1

Store Commission is 5%

If you select the option (Include shipping cost in vendors commission), the system will calculate the store commission based on the selling + shipping amount which will be ( $0.80 ).

If you don't select the option, then the system will calculate the store commission based on the selling price only which will be $0.75

I hope this was clear

thanks

By default, the vendor pays shipping and the store owner receives a commission on the shipping.

Checking the box has the effect of removing the shipping amount from the calculation thereby giving the vendor the full shipping amount.

I don't believe there is a way for a store owner to receive the shipping amount in standard cs-cart.  However, you could certainly do so utilizing the vendor_plans hooks.

We had previously done an addon that allowed site owners to change how order amounts (shipping, taxes, products, handling fees, etc.) were allocated between vendors and store owners BEFORE any commission was calculated.  It also did category based commission rates and category-price based commission rates.  But when cs-cart enabled category commission rates, demand dried up and we stopped selling the addon.

In general this addon let you define who to allocate an element of the order to (vendor or site) and to let you establish separate commission rates for each.  This functionality was never adopted by cs-cart.
