Our Brand ( Link To Feature)

Hi,

By default (ie the demo store) has a footer link “our brands” linking to a a feature defined page

http://demo.cs-cart.com/index.php?dispatch=product_features.view_all&filter_id=10.

Now on my setup it leads to a 404, I'm trying to figure how to setup the proper id value and where to find it … it does not appear to have anything to do with feature code as it is blank on the demo.

Help welcome

Cheers

Go to the Products → Filters page and find the ID near the filter name:

Please let me explain it.

When you create a new filter, it is possible to select a product feature

If this product feature has type “Brand/Manufacturer” ( for example: Instant Demo - CS-Cart Multi-Vendor Demo Try Free for 15 days ) , this filter would have a separate page with list of variants like this:

http://demo.cs-cart.com/index.php?dispatch=product_features.view_all&filter_id=10

hope it helps.

This did the trick , thank you once again

We are glad to help you.

Guys, I must be missing something here, I tried to follow your steps but end up anyway with a 404.

I am on V4.3.3 Ultimate just for the record and I am quite sure I followed the instructions you presented here above.

@ Cart Power they helped me instantly.

I deleted all of the variants in my Brands. But I did NOT delete the Brand feature that was default in CS-Cart install.

I then added a single brand, complete with logo, description etc.

In the brands slider on the homepage my new Brand is displaying and I can click on it and view the information about the brand along with the products below it.

However, when I click the "Our brands" link at the top of my homepage it returns a 404 page not found.

I've checked that the menu link is showing the proper feature id (18) and that my Brands feature is also "18".

But my brands still don't show up when I click the Our brands link.

Help!

Please make sure that at least one product in your store has a brand variant assigned.

In this case you should create a new menu with necessary items (all categories). One item should have the link to your brand page. More info can be found here:

design/themes/responsive/templates/blocks/topmenu_dropdown.tpl

Find link by "text_topmenu_view_more"
