Seo Pro Recommend

Can anyone recommend a good company/person who can give my site an seo assesment and provide services to implement some best practices etc. I am on a 3.06 site but soon to be upgraded to latest version.

I have been looking at the seo addon from WSA, but it is like giving a blind man a map, I just dont know how to fully utilse it and dont have time yet due to other commitments.

I previously purchased the similar addon a few years from 4 sprung but it didnt suit my site after installation and was quickly removed and my $400 thrown in the trash, so I dont want to do the same thing again, hence someone with seo assesment would be good.

ps I do see that 4sprungs does not affect core files as it did in the past

If anyone can help its a goer asap. PM appreciated

Thanks

john

I'm also looking for some help in this area. I looked at 4Sprung add-on and it seems to do a lot but not knowing SEO I don't know how to evaluate. In addition to 4Sprung and WSA there is one by ABSoft. As to whether there is an actual advantage to using one of these within CS-Cart over simply working with product fields I don't know. They must exist because they add some capability this may or may not go beyond a convenient interface. (One way of working with SEO relevant fields is to export into an end-user database and then re-import after adjusting field data. I use Filemaker Pro for this.) I am also considering research tools to analyze data collected on similar web sites and then doing SEO accordingly. Probably the quickest way to get rolling would be to hire an expert. Where are you looking for help?

BTW, I'm on version 4 and upgrading to latest. I have been told by an SEO company that CS-Cart already handles SEO well, generating good URLs. I think there might be some differences between CS-Cart 3 and 4 in this area. What add-on to use would depend on CS-Cart version.

Another thing to keep in mind is that meta tag keywords are not as important as before. Content and back-links will basically determine how your site gets found. There are tools for writing good content which will rate your text by the key words you want to use. Ideally you want to use keywords that are not too competitive but which people use to search.

Yeah of similar thoughts, I have spent time in the past but just cant consistently get enough time to get to grips properly so its very sporadic. I want someone to do a general sweep and check/implement the required and point me to reports/checks that can be done. Ive used a few of the online stuff and serps etc nut want to get moving more efficiently on it by someone who has good experience

Hello,

Hi John, save your money. Spend time and money on creating content and building in-bound links.

I don't know but the above might be going a bit far. There are probably ways to SEO any kind of content. It would be great if there were no tricks to perform other than excellent copy and pictures. Meta tag deprecation makes writing for the web harder, IMHO. As far as I know, your copy still needs to be keyword-rich but your keyword target is harder to set.[quote name='ghostrider' timestamp='1439126276' post='226129']

You are based in UK? I am US and site is only American English. I would think for SEO work one would need a high degree of fluency in audience language. UK-US no problem, as long as your team are native English speakers.

Questions about your add-on:

Does it change core files?

CS-Cart v.4 already handles URLs very well for SEO. How does your add-on add value to features already present in CS-Cart?
