Product Images Not Visible After Store Migration

I decoupled our multi store setup and now setup both store fronts on separate domains and cpanel accounts. That is done, the stores are both in working order. Imported the same products from the old setup into the new store that used to be just the second store front and everything is fine. However, even though I copied the images from the former multi store setup to the new store in exact the same folders. I just do not see the images

Why is that ?

Good day,

The issue may be due to incorrect IDs of the imported products. Check the IDs. Also it's better to import/export images via the same standard import tool.

I received the following instructions :

Please note that after the products are imported, you should copy the images from the exim/backup/images/ directory of your first CS-Cart installation to the exim/backup/images/ directory of your second CS-Cart installation and import the products

But I cannot find that exim/backup/images directory anywhere. Where is it ? The knowledge base talks about it but I cannot locate it anywhere

Check in var/files or var/exim

for latest CS-Cart versions it is var/files/%COMPANY_ID%/exim/backup/images

where %COMPANY_ID% is identifier of store front, e.g. var/files/1/exim/backup/images

First of all I want to thank everyone participating in this thread. You gave me the clues that led me to the root of the problem.

The instructions given in the knowledge base is correct albeit not complete. W$A put me in the right direction in regards tot to where tI can find the exim/backup/images directory. Later the developers at CS-Cart also confirmed this.

However that did not solve the problem I was having. The steps to follow in the instructions are not in the right order. What I did to solve the problem was first copy the images from the old site: in the var/files/%COMPANY_ID%/exim/backup/images directory to the new site and then import the data from the exported .CSV product file and then do a full fresh of the cach (cc&ctpl).

That solved it.

The instructions given by CS-Cart in the Knowledge Base do it the order way around and let you first import the data and then copy the exim/backup/images directory to the new site.

Thank you for sharing this information.
