Unable To Import Orders Into Cs-Cart 4.2.4

We are trying to import around 29000 orders and 17000 users from CS-cart 3.0.2 into Cs-cart 4.2.4 using the store import tool but we are getting time out errors and are not able to import any orders or users even after repeated attempts. Please find the attached screenshot of the progress bar. We are on a VPS server.

Can anyone help with the correct method that works to import orders into the latest cs-cart?

I think you will have to do it by making your spreadsheets smaller as that is too much for one go.

I think it will have to be trial and error. you may find you can do 100 or maybe only 20 it depends on the configuration.

You may be able to change some settings which might improve the number but I think you wont be able to do all at once.

Have had issues like this before and that was the only way. Maybe some one else knows differently though.

Same as Mrfoam said but we found uploading the spreadsheet to the server and importing from there helped

Enough people have reported problems with this that cs-cart needs to come up with a mechanism to allow import of batch orders (say groups of 1000) versus all at once.

I think i used this software to split the csv

But the trouble is we are not using CSV files to export import the orders. The orders are being exported directly to the latest CS-cart using the store import tool. So is exporting and importing using Excel CSV is the way to go?

You may have problems with users in this case. Orders data contains User ID. Make sure that the user ID of the same user is equal in the old and new stores.
