How do you Restore Store Files? are they compressed into one file , into a certain directory?

The files can be found in the root directory in the archive, the name of which contains a date when it was created.

I clicked on “Clear System Cache” and “Clear Templates Cache” now i have a blank website.
I reverted to another template until i figure out how to get my old template back… but but am having trouble…still blank. Please advise
