Vps Hosting Suggestions

Hi,

I would like some recent VPS host recommendations. I have read previous posts, but many are dated.

I would like to know if anyone recommends any of the hosting provider recommended by cs-cart.

I have looked at a2hosting hosting VPS/VPS Cloud. And have looked at wired tree.

I am looking for US hosting.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Bob

Try Future Hosting. Thats what i use for my store and I use their VPS. Their US based hosting. Excellent support staff as well.

interserver

The Tool,.

Interserver offers VPS by slices and OpenVZ and KVM options (Don't know what these are).

What do you recommend for a small site, ie under 100 customers per day?

Thanks,

Bob

Hi Bob,

you can try one of our managed XEN VPS. More details about our VPS servers at http://www.martfox.com/openvz-vps-xen-vps-servers.html

Bob,

You can't go wrong with Interserver. I haven't looked at their packages lately but you don't need much for 1 site. I am running 3 sites on a VPS that has 75GB, 2 CPU, 3.5GB RAM. Look around for deals/coupons for Interserver and if you can pay upfront for long term use, it will save you even more.

I'm using wiredtree,

is a great hosting provider.

We’ve been using them for 2 years :-)

This. I use their VPS Hybrid running 6 websites with two being CS-Cart and the customer service has been absolutely phenomenal. $44/month which is dirt cheap compared to what I was paying HostGator not to mention better hardware.

Here's a great resource for hosting: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/

Futurehosting, wiredtree, knownhost, and a few others are considered top tier providers.

We have knownhost and there support is ticket only but outstanding.

I've been with Hostgator for a long time but their support response has gone way downhill so will probably be switching all my VPS's to a different host. However, I'm reluctant to put them all in once place. Seems that network attacks on data centers is the biggest cause of down time and having all sites down at once is a real pain.

Avoid Godaddy hosting at all costs. There under constant attack and there tech support is a mess.

I am going to do an install of cs 4.2 on one of knownhosts ssd vps's with 2 gs of ram. ($50 a month) To see how it responds. Knownhost is a little pricey, but they have been helpfull tweaking the server to suit cs carts needs.
