Bots Keep Hitting My Customer Log In Area

Preventing access from certain IP’s works if the attempts aren’t coming

from a botnet but I am curious.

What are the chances of a bot getting passed the captcha code ?

I should be thankful that they are not knocking on my ‘admin’ door.

So far they did not get through the captcha code on our site, but they do a pretty darn good job slowing down your site. Not to mention they made the “Cscart_Stored_Sessions” in the database grow to a HUGE size in a matter of a couple of days.

I am just hoping that all the IP's I am excluding don't add substantially to Virtual Memory Usage.

All we need is to attract the attention of a bloody botnet.

What Version CS-Cart are you using Clips ?

We are using multiple versions. The one that had the problems was version 4.2.3. I did see the stored sessions of version 2 too. I'm just not for sure if it grows as much because we never had this issue before version 4.

The SAAS version seems to run smoothly. Maybe it wouldn't suit everyone but it would be nice to have our carts hosted some server environment configured BY CS-Cart. Not these hosts 'recommended' by CS-Cart.

At the very least have some method of properly interrogating the server during installation.

There is too much 'blame the server' going on without even so much as vague specifics as to why.

Maybe CS-Carts are being 'targeted'. I am living on hooks, waiting for the next bloating of Virtual Memory Resources ( and consequent site crash ) while CS-Cart and my host are just pointing the finger at each other.

Virtual Memory Usage 1,017 / 1536 MB

My cart has been siting on this as a BASELINE for over a month now and the only reason the site is up is because my host increased the VMU limit. Something my cart 3.0.6 is doing ( while there is essentially no usage ) cannot be explained.

Hi,

We've released Merchium—the SaaS version of CS-Cart—just yesterday, you should check it out. It may be just the thing you need: pre-configured, no installation required, entirely maintained by our team, automatically updated every two weeks, and backed up daily. Feature-wise it's almost equal to CS-Cart. We've only excluded the features that are not meant to be implemented in a SaaS.

If you are familiar with CS-Cart, you'll find Merchium easy to get used to.

There's a free 21-day trial available, so you can give it a shot without purchase.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks!

Hi Konstantin.

From my browser ( Chrome ) it all felt very slow

but according to GTMETRIX

Page Speed / YSlow.

My current CS-Cart = F / B

SAAS = A / A.

Looking good.

Now…is there a store import add-on or am I faced with a spreadsheet nightmare

to move my current 3.0.6 data to SAAS ???

Is there a 'Spreadsheet import for Dummies' ?
