Importing Product Seo Name And Upc Values

I'm importing a new batch of products for the second time and am a little rusty. What should I put in SEO name field for products? Is SEO name auto-generated for products as it seems to be for categories? Can I just use the value of Product name field for SEO name as well?

Also, I have UPCs for the new products. Although my initial product imports did not have UPCs I thought I saw UPC field somewhere in the product record which I now can't find. Chalk it up to brain fever induced by pulling too many all-nighters while trying to get squared away for the holiday season. I will put the UPC values into a feature field unless someone tells me that I was not hallucinating.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

SEO name is shown in URL line of your browser. If you do not define the SEO name in import file, SEO name is generated automatically depending on the product name. If you enter the value of product name to SEO name field, SEO name will also be generated automatically.

For any product there is no separate UPC field, but there is the field for Product code, which is crucial when importing data. If you want every product to have the UPC field you need to import these values using features.

Thanks for reply. I have added a UPC feature for drop shipping since it is a unique identifier. Those products which are not drop shipped will have no value for this field.
