Google Analytics - Enhanced Commerce
The enhanced ecommerce plug-in for analytics.js enables the measurement of user interactions with products on ecommerce websites across the user's shopping experience, including: product impressions, product clicks, viewing product details, adding a product to a shopping cart, initiating the checkout process, transactions, and refunds.
Has anyone heard if enhanced commerce will be added to CS-Cart sometime soon?

It seems as a useful feature for shopping cart. If you will be interested, we will be glad to integrate it for you.

I could do the integration myself, but I’d rather see CS-Cart integrate it into the default addon.

Yes, but to do it properly (impressions, clicks, actions, option selection, button presses, navigation, etc.) requires a LOT of core code modifications to add the appropriate gtn attributes and then to capture things like cart content and what's removed from the cart. A good example is changes to the carousel(s) for next/prev clicks and then for clicks of the banners.

It could be done with jQuery but deferring it to late-loading runs the risk of not capturing navigation or clicks that happen before page load completes.

Would certainly help if all tags had id's and all tags had gtn-event and gtn-info attributes relative to their actions.

We as other have provided a basic set of tracking attributes (http://www.cscart.biz/google-enhanced-ecommerce.html) and we are planning to add on each relase more and more on tracking.

but believe me when I say too much info its too much. You need basic staff for the most, and again the information you are getting after a few months time is overwhelming.

Tracking the changes you need to do after getting this info is a huge task of its own.

To be honest the most importnant bit I would need is the checkout funnel tracking, but the price is a bit heavy :)

I'll keep it in mind tho

Hi again

we decided to sell this at 65€. 45€. There will be an other version later this year (probably second half of 2016) more advanced with reports in CS-Cart instead of Google Analytics Site so the price will be higher around 120€.

Current addon reporting is described in product descritpion http://www.cscart.biz/google-enhanced-ecommerce.html?sl=EN

Hello,

it says that this plugin replaces standard CS-Cart GA plugin. Will the settings of the standard plugin be kept in your plugin? Like order status logic for e-commerce conversion tracking etc.

(my worry is that I will mess up something that already exists and works well - which took me some time to achieve)

Hi Fedor

the part of the code from CS-Cart is also there, so you dont need both addons. Analytics will continuew working just fine.

We have many live stores using it without any problems

PS

Also new price! 45€

Hello Fotis,

I think we'll buy it. How accurate you think are the checkout funnel statistics?
