Hi there,
I am currently editing my site so I can have it up and running soon, however I don’t want the site to be live and accessed by just anyone at the moment, but I still want to be able to view it well it is closed.
I went into settings>general checked the box close store front and then I filled in Access key to temporarily closed store with http://www.domainnam…s_key=key_value
I tested it out but it just took me to the storefront closed page.
If anyone has experienced this and could help me understand what has happened that would be awesome!
Thanks
You need to enter a key like “123456789”. Then access the store with http://www.domainname.com/index.php?store_access_key=123456789
Dear Christina,
To temporarily close your storefront, please do the following:
- Go to Settings > General;
- Tick the Close storefront check box;
- Enter your secret key to access the storefront (if you will need to) in the Access key to temporarily closed store field.
- Click Save.
For example, if your store's address is http://store.com/ and your secret key is canttouchthis, then you will be able to access your storefront using this link:
http://store.com/index.php?store_access_key=canttouchthis
I hope it's clear now.
Thank you.
Is it possible to remove the closed storefront link for one of my admin user groups, some of my staff who are in a certain user group keep closing store in error
