Cart-Power Add-On: Call Request

Dear Friends,

We are glad to introduce you the “Call Request” add-on. It allows customers to request a call. After the installation of the add-on you will have a special button on the product detailed page of the storefront with the form for contact information. Also the button can placed anywhere in the storefront within block manager. After a customer fulfills the form and submits it, you will get a notification about a new request in the admin panel and via e-mail. Now everything you should do is just to call your customer.

neat…

Very nice. We had actually contacted someone about getting a custom mod similar to this. One question, is there a way to easily be able to put your hours on the drop down or something? Otherwise they could ask for a phone call in the middle of the night when we don't have anyone in the office.

Thank you for the high estimation. We have upgraded add-on. We have moved the “Call request” button below “Add to cart” on the product detailed page and made a little changes of look-and-feel.

Please, take a look:

It is useful, you are right. We will consider to develop this feature. Now, if you wish, we can perform it as custom development service.

Best wishes, Cart-Power.

Dear friends,

We have made a little change of the “Call Request” add-on. We have added available time string near time to call. It looks like:

To change available time to call you should change the “call_request_time” language variable.

Great addition! The hours of operation are an important thing.

I was actually just looking at this add on yesterday again and was almost ready to buy it. Posted a couple of notes, then I realized that a customer can pretty much put anything in the “time to call” field. Not only does this leave it pretty wide open, but it really leaves a lot of things out of the equation. For example, if the customer lives on the west coast and we live on the east coast, how would we know that? So if they said to call them at 9am in the morning and we are in New York and they live in California, but I don't know that, and I call them at 9am EST then I would actually be calling them at 6am in the morning.

I suppose we could change the text to Time to call EST please

Good point John!

Clips,

You're right and John suggested the idea we supposed too. We discussed with developers ability to add time picker, but took a decision add just a text, because it is easier.

will you enable my downloads for this please

John, did you get this installed and is it working? We tested it and thought it was good, but when we put it on the live site and make it active customers can no longer “add to cart”. I'm not for sure if it is clashing with another add on we have or not.

Just try uninstall add-on and check if problem is solved. If yes, we will fix it on your site, just contact us.

Hi Cart-Power, we just turned off the call request program and our site worked again. We didn't have to uninstall it. I'm just not for sure if your add on is clashing with something else we installed or what the scoop is.

After just now going to your demo site for the add on I realize that your site does not allow us to “add to cart” either. So it must be clashing with something in the core part of CS-Cart or it is clashing with another add on you might have created.
