No upgrades currently available

Hi,

  1. The upgrade to 4.1.4 is not ready immediately after a new version arrive, will be in a few days ;)
  2. CS-Cart upgrades are don step by step, if now for ex. you have 4.1.1 and the latest upgrade is 4.1.4 the process will be:
[]4.1.1 > 4.1.2

    [
    ]4.1.2 > 4.1.3

4.1.3 > 4.1.4
I hope that helps,

    Valentin

I am trying a fresh install of 4.1.4 in a sub folder.

Appears to be no installation manual for 4.1.4

Can I use manual for 4.1.3 ?

Yes, 4.1.4 is minor release. So you can use all instructions for the previous version.

After upgrade to 4.1.4

upgrade version is

Installed upgrades

Upgrade 4.1.2 - 4.1.3

is this should be 4.1.3-4.1.4 ?

Yes after the upgrade Installed Upgrades should report:

“Upgrade 4.1.3 - 4.1.4”

Mine did.

Just checking with you here. I am in the dark about the best practices on how to do a store upgrade when you have a custom third party skin involved and no core files modified. What is the best way to have the upgrade not screw up your custom skin.

How do you… make sure a store upgrade does not hurt your custom skin?

I asked the same question a while back in other thread

Why do you care about the ways of upgrade if no core files were affected? Anyway, at fist try to make an upgrade via the Upgrade center on the local host and check the result.

Usually the end result is a very mixed bag and my custom store design is in shambles. What to do ?

Make an upgrade on the local host and check the result. If any additional changes are required, contact the theme developer.

If you need any help with this, please contact me.

I will contact the themebuilder first as you suggest. But it could very well be that I will be contacting you when I need some help.

Thanks
