Does CS-Cart help in this forum?

Just a general question…so far this has been a great forum and I’ve gotten some excellent help here…however it IS a forum and the nature of forums is…you cant expect to have all your questions answered always correctly or quickly…thats just the way forums are:-) I was wondering tho…are there actual people here from CS-Cart who help when you can’t figure out what this product does or how to make it work the way it is supposed to? I cant discern between these titles “CS-Cart Expet”, “CS-Cat Developer”, etc…

its great that there are helpful volunteers here who help us novices out…but can we expect any help on our unanswered questions from CS-Cart employees?? Just wondering…thanks

I guess that you need to open a support ticket so they can solve any issues that you encouter.

That’s their buisness politic as far as i can figure.

Yes probably so. I just hate to start the 30 day support clock ticking if I only have a simple question or two…:frowning: I have to say this is a very good forum tho and was one of the reasons I purchased in the first place…

Just wondering…thanks[/quote]Yes, people from CS-Cart do show up here once in a while. You’re much more likely to have your question answered by a forum member, usually much faster than CS-Cart would respond too. The good folks at CS-C work their magic from Russia, so you’re not going to see an answer until the next morning. Usually, one of the forum members has taken care of the problem by then, or has begun a technical dialog that CS-C wouldn’t have a reason to get involved.

A couple of things to consider. CS-C has a time limited support window for new customers. Once that expires, they charge for help. They’re very fair about support and I have found them to be easy to work with.

Also, they have a support ticket system that allows them to catalog bugs and problems. All software companies live and die by their support ticket system. If someone from CS-C answers a question on the forums, it doesn’t get input into the support db. Very bad for all of us when that happens.

And, if someone from CS-C answers a question here, that person is usually inundated with private messages from users looking for free help on a variety of their problems.

As we assemble the CSCModClub website, we will also have a forum that can address support issues.

Understood…is this CSMod club site available yet? Sounds like a great idea…I have been trying to keep track of the various useful mods Ive run across so far and it seemed a very inefficient way to keep them…would be nice to see a download area sometime soon where all the mods are easily available…the reason I wondered about official CS-Cart support here is …as you know…the nature of forums…if youre question isnt interesting enough it can sadly go unanswered …I just hate to start that support clock ticking so have saving up all my questions for at once… Thanks
