Bulk Moving Categories (Parent To Child, Child To New Parent Category)

Hi,



In the latest version of CS-CART - there doesnt seem to be an easy way of bulk moving categories from one sub category to another



For example



You have:



Sport:

Tennis

Soccer

Cricket





And you want to move the 3 sub-categories (Tennis, Soccer, Cricket) to a new cateogry called Ball Sports - you cant seem to do it or I cant find it in admin interface



Please help and advise.

Unfortunately there is no way to make such changes quickly. You should change categories parents one-by-one. If you want to extend the default functionality, please contact us at http://ecom-labs.com . Thank you.

Will you guys look into this? Doing changes to categories from a products level in bulk should be part of backend/admin functionality.



If you have 10 000 products and need to move them into new created sub-categories as you want to be more verbose in your sitemap and categorisation and also for SEO purposes - this is good - then you cannot do this.



Surely this is not a big change to include in next version (4.14) ?
