Is there a way to run any sort of report that will show how much sales tax for my home state I have collected? I want to be able to keep track so I can make payments quarterly etc. Any help is appreciated.

Usually Best option is to export data to Quickbooks and sort from there.
Ok, will it work with Xero as well?
You can set up tax reports with the default installation. There are many filters you can set to run just a tax report.

Or can I do it from my administration panel at all?
Admin panel under sales reports. You can create your own reports.
