This may be a stupid question, but I am coming from v2 and I am not sure how CS-Cart has changed addon installs?
Could someone please clarify where the files from a .zip addon folder go?

For a while packaged and thought out addon you just need to extract and upload the folders to their respective directories:
/app
/design
