Shipstation Intergration

Is it possible for vendors to intergrate their checkout with Shipstation? If so, I think it can make it a smooth process for everyone, not to mention if you referr each vendor to Shipstation, I beleive you can receive affilliate commissions. Any help is appreciated.

It is possible, though the API is only available on Gold ($65/month) or higher plans:

Hey Jeremy

Thanks for the quick response. I think I do have a plan higher than Gold.

Do I need to know some coding to integrate? Or would it be as easy to integrate as it was for my Amazon store?

Amazon storefronts are an official partner with Shipstation, as well as Ebay, Etsy and Magento so they offer you a configurable plugin. CS-Cart would need a custom solution to integrate the two via the API.

What version of CS-Cart are you running?

The cost of a custom solution would more than likely run $1000-1500 USD. I see many CS-Cart shop owners with a shared interest conducting their own crowdfunding when they want a common solution. Perhaps this is a solution that you could interest others in

Hey Requin

Thanks for the reply, have you seen any threads out there I can look at and see if anyone is interested in going in on this?

I’d like to be able to connect my marketplace shop to our Shipstation account. We would want vendors to be able to connect their shop to there personal ship station account if possible also. But we will do some drop shipping for some of our clients that we work with through the marketplace, so if we could have the option to connect their personal marketplace to our Shipstation account that would be awesome.

I know this is an old thread, but has anyone got Shipstation to integrate? They apparently have a .tgz file they sent me. I unpacked (it contained 4 files) in the add-ons directory, but when I click the install link when in admin > add-ons, nothing happens. They provide no support.

Also trying to integrate ShipStation. Install worked for me, but I get an error when trying to enter the settings in ShipStation to connect the shop. Anyone have any luck with this?

Note : Attempting to install for 4.3.2 (not MV).

It's possible, just like the simple web API from chinadivision.com,which makes shipping data available for syncing the client system and manage orders.

i know it's a reply to an old topic but SS has an API for CS-Cart now for download.

The important parts are to install the api, set "Complete" checkbox for "Shipped Statuses" in the SS Settings in CSC.

Then go to Settings->Selling Channels->store setup in ShipStation and click your connection link next to your marketplace (Webstore.) from there enter the same username and password you used in CS-cart in the SS add-on and click "Test Connection" If all is well, then click the connect button.

we run on CSC Ultimate using Multi-store with out issues. Hope this helps someone

Just as an FYI ... Ship Station no longer supports CS-Cart newer than 4.6.3. We're getting more and more reports of it not working on newer versions. Ship Station support confirms that their last release of the plugin does not work.

We're working on potentially fixing the last version of the plugin so it runs for the most recent (2/2021) CS-Cart release. We'll update the thread if this get finalized.

Hopefully you'll fix the megabytes of error_log entries for shipstation.... Tons of undefined index notices....

Just put `@` everywhere (not recommended btw lol)

Any updates? Can't believe SS hasn't resolved this in almost a year!

Seems like they've straightened out some issues (see below) but as reported on another CSC community thread the integration is still not working.

We're a prospective purchaser of CSC stuck on this presale issue hoping for a solution.

Nope. This is the only file they list from inside of a client-account when you start a connection to your CS-Cart store:

We installed this version .. no help.

I signed up for a ShipStation account today, installed their addon, and it does not work. Will not connect with my store. I contacted their support, who said I need to roll back my CS-Cart store to version 4.6 (I’m on 4.15) in order to be able to use ShipStation (why would anyone suggest something like that?). He offered no apologies, no workarounds…just didn’t really care.
Too bad, since it looks like a good shipping tool.

Hi @kingsleypress - Did you ever get this resolved. So odd that support would suggest you roll back to a 5 year old version of CS-Cart just to use their integration add on. I’m having similar issues, as we just recently updated to the latest 4.16.2 and Shipstation’s most recent addon version doesn’t appear to work. We got in touch with support and the rep said the same thing they said to you basically, “you have to use 4.6.x or earlier”. No thanks. haha. Hate to lose Shipstation though, since it’s been a really convenient tool, but I’m not sure of other alternatives currently. May just have to do shipments manually for a bit until we figure out a solution.

I never got it resolved. Since they didn’t care about me, I didn’t care about them, and got on with my life. I am currently using Pirate Ship. I download orders to a CSV file and upload to Pirate Ship. There is no monthly fees and their UPS discounts are really good.
