Is Gmail workable for V4.0.3 with SMTP?

hi every one, is Is Gmail workable for V4.0.3 with SMTP for email transfer ? there is no instructions on cs cart knowledge base,so how to do ?

Thank you.

Be very careful. I once set Gmail to send and retrieve all our emails (changing the mx records to Gmail etc). After half a day of order processing, and status update emails being sent to customers, an error showed up in the Admin saying something along the lines that we had done our quota of sending emails for the day.

I changed our MX records back to the server we had CSC installed on, and have never had a problem since.

Reason for above: Gmail has a limit, google apps doesn't.

That's interesting Flow. I could've sworn we were using Google Apps at the time. It was a couple of years ago now, so I cant remember for sure.

Has anyone managed to get gmail or gapps smtp to work in 4.0.3?

It would have to be Google Apps if you changed your MX records.

Hi buging,

Could you share how you integrated google apps email with smtp?

We are also on 4.0.3 and we have not been able to successfully integrate them.

Regards

It's the same code in the KB. They just renamed the files in v4
