Looking for a Quote addon, seen one mentioned in these pages but the link is dead. Any current addon for this that is being supported? On 2.2 currently but will probably move to v4 next year.

want to be able to email customers a quote rather than an order, so add products in the same way as I would if putting together an order, a notes section, and then email over to a customer (with a customer code) I want the customer then to be able to accept and pay for that quote using the normal payment page and convert it to an order.
so you effectively want to create a customer “wishlist” (from admin) that they can then come to the site and pick it up as a cart and place the order?
I need to be able to email it to them and I need to be able to change the standard pricing. It also has to say 'QUOTE' on it when it emails through and have a QUOTE reference number
No one know of anyone that does this still or who can quote on this?
I would be very interested in this addon. I need exactly what warmer is describing.

This can be pretty straight-forward or can get complicated in a hurry.
If you're just quoting things that are existing products at their cart prices (or a discount based on group), then it's pretty straight forward for registered users (it then becomes a wishlist with some modified templates and a few 'modes' for sending email, linking back to the wishlist, etc.). An example of this would be putting together custom “kits” of products.
If you want them to make a request and then you're going to quote them 50 items that are not products (or some products) but are items with brief descriptions and that have ad-hoc pricing then it gets more complicated. An example of this might be quoting a project (software, construction, etc.).
The important part is defining your requirements so that a developer can define an implementation and then give you a quote (rather rhetorical).
You might be better served to find a system that is a quote system and then to integrate the quote with cs-cart after it is approved (Ie. generate an order, collect payment, etc.).

[/quote]I also am interested in this with also the option to add extra custom product lines. I would need the ability to add a product that is not in my store already and also to make the shipping cost anything I wanted. I also saw a thread about this and I'm waiting patiently.

Quote / Invoicing Features:
This is an enterprise level addon intended for businesses performing custom work and one-off jobs where the creation of online invoices / quotes can be sent directly to the customer and paid online. The quotes can be accepted or declined by the customer and paid for online as if it were a product.
This is how the addon works:
- The customer submits a request for quote using the built-in form which is created by the admin. The form fields are customizable through the built-in quote form editor. The store admin is notified when new quotes are submitted. If a customer does not already have an account a new account is automatically created with an auto-generated username/password sent to the customer. This username/password can then be used to securely log into the quote system and view, respond, decline, accept and pay quotes and invoices.
- When a quote is received the store admin can build customized quotes in a detailed and clean format and submit the quote back to the customer to accept or decline. If the customer declines the quote it is sent back to the store owner for review where the store admin can revise and re-submit the quote back to the customer. This cycle repeats until the quote is either accepted or expired.
- If the customer accepts the quote it can be paid for online immediately just as if it where a product.

Yes you can change the shipping cost manually on every order and you can also add any product code/price/colour you wish manually too whether in the store or not. You can also manually add images to show what that product is like

This is the screenshot of the v2.2.4 version which is already available. The v4.1.4+ version of the Quote / Invoicing Addon will be nearly identical in functionality.

Yes, it's all done and I've just been testing it the last few days, a few little glitches getting fix right now and I'm really happy with how the upgrade to v4.1.5 has been, I'm expecting this to be available for you guys to download and install as soon as Tue/Wed of next week (6/3/14)
