There is something I’m not understanding how it works. Lets say we configured the website to have $5 flat rate shipping. During checkout, if the customer is buying from 3 different vendors, the shipping charge triples $5 x 3 (each vendor charges $5 shipping). Is there a way we can set $5 as the flat shipping rate of the entire order disregarding how many vendors? As a company doing fulfilment service for its vendors, this is a must and should be a basic feature in any cart. If anyone knows how, please shed some light on this thanks!
You might be able to use promotions and have it give free shipping for any items after the first. Trouble is that the cart believes (and I disagree with you) as it should, that each vendor ships their own products. Otherwise if you're inventorying everything, then you are a single supplier of the items.
it won't work, if i set free shipping for 2 or more products in the cart, the entire order will give free shipping including the first item… unless i misunderstood you? thanks
Don't know how this is designed to work in MVE when the items are spread across vendors. The assumption (if I'm not mistaken) is that each vendor ships from a different location so they are in fact separate shippings.

unfortunately MVE is not designed that way. I had a custom addon created for this. Let me know if you're interested to share the cost
