Can somebody let me know, what path should I use to set images in css, when those images are in media images folder ?

You should use the following: [color=#555555][font=monospace][size=3]design/themes/basic/media/images/addons/my_changes/images/filename.ext[/size][/font][/color]
Check what your Theme Directory is in Design/Themes as the path won't be to basic if you've created a custom theme.
