V4 - JSON Error calculating shipping

I get this error when I change the shipping method to include tax, then at checkout trying to calculate the shipping costs will bring this error up, remove the tax option from shipping method, and the error is gone.

I’ve cleared the cache both on the server and local, and this still pops up.

Found the issue within - Settings:Appearance -, if these are ticked, then the error is thrown, if not ticked, then no error.

Thanks. Got the same error and went searching for a solution ;)

I took same error too when I tick that options.

I am using v41.

I am also seeing this error, and do not have either of those boxes checked.

In my case it seems to be related USPS International shipping. Originally, US Express shipping didn't work either, but I was able to fix that with the Priority Mail Express name change fix. However, it did not fix the international mail problem. No international methods seem to work. It will generate the above error when calculating the cost. If I ignore the error, and “proceed to checkout” I get a fatal error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function Tygh\Shippings\Services\fn_usps_prepare_service_name() in /home/trulyvic/public_html/shopping/app/Tygh/Shippings/Services/Usps.php on line 472

Greetings!

Any updates on this issue?

It seem to pop when I started to play around with template layout.

We are now seeing this error. Has anyone figured out another reason it is happening?

CSCartRocks ended up fixing it for us. There was a conflict between something CS-Cart did in version 4.1.2 and their add-on. All is good now. Well, until we find another bug. It would be awesome if CS-Cart fixed a bug as fast as CSCartRocks did! But I do understand there is a little more entailed for the CS-Cart crew.
