Website not showing in google, but blog subdomain is

I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing wrong, but if I google my web site, i.e. “Little Red Golf Shop” (littleredgolfshop.com) it is not showing up in google at all, although the subdomain blog.littleredgolfshop.com is showing up, as are my facebook, twitter, etc.

I know that some people are finding my site through google, if they are searching for specific products that we have, but it is disconcerting that my main web site is not showing up when it is searched for directly.

Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong, or any suggestions???

Thanks

Clive

Here is a starting clue.

Google has indexed your shop pages and applied sitelinks, so Google does know it's there. Sign up for Google Webmaster Tools to see if there are any errors or warnings reported by Google. Your problem is - without doing a full analysis - due to your poor (virtually non-existent) backlink profile, a new domain, limited unique content, and on, and on, and on… The “free” SEO service you have used will no doubt do more harm than good.

Before you look into these factors further, I suggest you fix the onsite SEO issues which are in abundance as things currently stand. Once the onsite factors are right, the other SEO factors should come far easier.

Thanks StellarBytes. I wonder if you could clarify a bit what you mean by “onsite SEO issues”.

Google Webmaster Tools is showing 'No new messages or recent critical issues' for littleredgolfshop.com. It is odd, to me at least, that google is not returning the site when one searches for Little Red Golf Shop explicitly. If I search for particular products then I am getting results from my site.

Could you suggest a SEO service which might serve be better than the free one that I used? Also in what way does it do more harm than good?

Thanks a lot for your help.

How long since you have launched the cs-cart store?

Hi cscartrocks, the site has been online since early June. How long does one typically need to get a foothold in the rankings?
