Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array

Hi all,



I am deploying a 3.0.6 shop and I have an odd problem. When running any search either through the search box, or via “Product Selection” filter by price or brand for example I get this error:

Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /[my document root]/var/cache/templates/customer/%%9A^9A3^9A3141D9%%products_list.tpl.php on line 187<br />

This only happens if I search on the home page, not if I am in a category view, or detailed product view. Unfortunately searching from the home page is the most useful place for searching so this error is serious.<br />
<br />
I have tried to disable all addons, cleared the server and browser caches, to no avail. Any help would be welcome.<br />

Your cs-cart version is? Any custom mods?

Update, this seems to be related to active blocks. I removed “Featured Products” block from the home page and now this error is gone when using the search box, however the error is still present when using product filters so there is still something odd going on.

No custom mods beyond CSS and addons.
