Got one barely live store, just few orders a week with approx ~50products. What do you think, is it worth upgrading to 4.01 now? Haven't updated anything for some time now, is update process painfull these days, meaning is there at least small chance 4.01 store built from scratch or via import export, wreck store white upgrading to 4.02 ?
PS would update 3x store. Reason for update, would like to develop new store design.
Better wait for a stable release. Lot of problems with the v.4.0.1, the v.4.0.2 is beta, isn't for production.

1. Import tool db import and data actualization never completes. Progress bar stops at ~5-10% for half an hours and doe not move.
Checked log and last row was "1380267763 - Done" all seems to be copied fine but progress bar stops for unknown reason...
2. All orders got no shipments. Says you have no shipping method but there is. After clicking edit order and save, shipment info appears.

Can anyone tell me how to reset layout? After store import design is broken, cant find how to reset theme so design would look as default cs-cart?
Go to design - layouts in your store. Also go to cs cart demo admin site, design - layouts and check they are the same. You can make adjustments to yours so they match the default store. Shouldn't have to do this really but it seems the store import is not quite fixed.

and new one is just a subdirectory for example /new (example.com/new)
then for import tool to find your old shop you need to enter path
../

/new - 4x store with new_db2 user2 pass2 (install with no demo products). New shop will run of new db.
Import tool imports all data from db1 to db2, later you will move file from /new to / and modify config files to set correct store location.
Note that after import is done both new and old shops are running at same time, you can customise shop, if old shop gets additional order in that time, import tool has data actualize feature to update, synchronize new data from old still running shop to new one on /new

I was getting keen to upgrade but after all the trouble I see people
having 3.0.6 is where I will be staying for a while yet. Drat !!
It's taken too long to build up a small following at our site so I just
can't risk losing customers with a messed up site.
