Description

Add-on is aimed at improving the store usability when administrators work with categories on the editing product page. For example, when there are a lot of categories, there may be situations when one gets confused in the grown tree of categories, and it is not clear where in this tree the categories selected for the product are located.

To resolve this problem, we suggest improving the display of the product categories list. To a category name, we will add all names of its parent categories.

For example:

“LED TVs”

will replaced on

“Electronics > TV & Video > LED TVs”.

Thank you for the question. This addon is very simple, the whole code is in the file “func.php”. Unfortunately, in the “2.1.x” and “2.2.Ñ…” branchs CS-Cart there is no necessary “hook” to make the necessary changes without interference with the store skins. We will adapt this add-on for the old version after our website is started.

You are welcome.

Just what I was looking for - thanks WSA!

I've been using this for a few weeks now and it is a really great addon. But, I was wondering if it would be possible to extend this functionality to a couple other parts of the admin. Specifically, it would be great to have it on pages where you add/edit features and filters. I have one feature that has four subcategories named "Accessories", so it would be extremely helpful to see the main category names for each without having to click into each one. For reference, see the attached screenshot.

Thanks for your consideration,

Jason
