User Group Privileges HELP :/

HELPPPPPPP PLEEEEEEEASE… ;) What settings are needed to allow a user group the ability to select images from the server?



MyGroup type: - Administrator



MyGroup User Settings :

Administrator - declined

MYGroup - active



MyGroup Privileges:

Database maintenance

Import and export data

Manage Catalog

View Catalog



The goal is to allow access ONLY to product data and images.

Currently MyGroup Users only have access to “upload or URL” links for images. The link to choose images from the ‘server’ is not present like it is in my administrator account and i don’t see any check boxes regarding images in the privileges editor. However the people who are editing my products need to access the images from the server.

HELP PLEASE.

Thank you for your message.



This feature is not controlled via user group privileges. The ability to upload images from the server is available only for root administrators by default. So if you want to allow another administrator account to upload images from the server, you should not activate any user groups for him/her.

From what i see applying administrator privileges defeats the ability of limiting the user to ONLY product editing.

What are the settings that will allow ONLY product editing to INCLUDE the ability to upload images …as simply as uploading a database is allowed. I mean really … i'm able to allow a full on database to be uploaded without the administrator privileges being active, so why not an image?



is there ANY way to limit the ability to only edit product info and include the link to upload images to the server…any way at all?

Hope this is stiring up some thought. if at all possible i’d like to participate in making this type of an option available. Is this a posibility?

Blue, did you ever get a response from support regarding this?

Yes the response was the two messages above. The CS-Cart does not have the functionality built in. Otherwise there have been no other responses regarding the actual coding that would need to be done.

I emailed support and they came back and said it is possible but would cost 10 credits for the modification code. Nice.
