Why CSCART is the slowest CMS that anyone in the history of earth has done?

Either:

Core code was written ver very poorly,

No optimizastions has been made on db queries,

No optimisations for templates

Poor code design,

Developers think of money not of user.

I paid $350 for a script which suposed to do a ver very simple thing - just make shopping easy.

No payments, no addons, no plugins all possible optimisations from my side has been done,

decent hosting, very few products, no shiping no taxes just simple products catalog

and the result:

Product loading time: 5 seconds

Catalog view: 23 seconds

Add to cart ajax: 27 seconds

you are not serious guys with this product, aren't you?

i will loose all my clients with your software sooner that i think.

you just sucking money and out of people and giving them peace of prehistoric sh**t.

Now i have paid for template/sript/setup more than 2k$ just to find out that

cscart is slowest thing i have ever seen.

thank you

I have over 1,000 products and have speeds around 2-5 secs. Try another ISP.
I can assure you that the script is written very well and that the problem do you have is in the settings of your server. We have on our shared servers many CS-Cart customers with up to 500 products and loading time of 1-2 seconds.

To the OP, you dont mention if you've switched to live mode, and followed the other various recommended tweaks; combining css, compiling the smarty templates etc.
Of course, you are right, the tweaks are very recommended to speed the cart up, but it seems the major problem is the server because 23 seconds for catalog view and 27 seconds for ajax is really to long. Another thing might be the caching configuration.

Typical misconfiguration and what a stupid, ranting opening post. Have you ever considered there might be something wrong with your configuration? Cs-cart's load time without any tweaks has 2 to 3 seconds loadtime on a good server.

Do you really think we'd all be here if we had shops that had 20 seconds loadtime?

Please show your example with full 500 products page loaded in 2 seconds.

I’ve asked CS cart support to look into my 100products catalogue 20sec loads and 20 sec add to carts.

Gave them full ftp access. Not a single note about hosting issues but stating that these are too many products to load at a time and this is NORMAL function as intended. Period.

Can I see that website that loaded in 2-3 seconds?

So if I understand correctly, the site is slow when showing 500 products on one page. Buy why on earth would you want to do that?

I used all the suggestions at this link

Speed Up and Optimise CS-Cart Version 3 - General Questions - CS-Cart Community Forums

I also upped up hosting to the fastest I could.

Yep nice. 16 sec load with 96 per page listing. and 15 sec each add to cart from that page.

CS cart developers should simply force remove listings above 20 products per page in order not to look lame than?

If they can't make “add to cart” without reloading whole freaking catalogue again and again.

Check how fast these 500 products are displayed? http://www.alza.cz/p#f&pg=1/20&po=1

Cs cart displays 96 way slower with a stupid blank page hang at start and again with 20 sec hangs for each add to cart…NO matter what server you put CS cart on…

What answer do you want to get on “Buy why on earth would you want to do that?” If you are happy how fast 10-50 products fly with cs cart even on shared hosting, just don't tell people who need a bit more from it that they are stupid and they don't need it. This is E-Commerce platform after all, that is being compared even with magento.
We can’t do that without the permission of the account owner. But you can upload your whole cart to our server to see where the problem is.
