We will release the Shopalize Purchase Sharing App integration in 10 days.

Price and addon both are excellent. How about your support and updates for addon and for how long ?

Greetings Miracles,

Updates are free for 3 months from the date of purchase.

We are integrating a support ticketing system at requincreative.com and in the meantime we monitor the cs-cart forums daily for feedback and pre-sales/customer support inquiries.

This addon is completely hook based and is cs-cart core upgrade independent for the 3.0 trunk. Once 3.1 is available in a “Stable” build we will evaluate the additional changes that may be required.

" Share this product & get 10% Off for your next purchase! Your friends will also get a 10% Off coupon for their purchase!" - does this actually happen automatically in CS-Cart with this addon, or does it require manual intervention to add a coupon to the users account?

You have to create the coupons in CS-Cart using Promotions.

First you create the campaign in Shopalize to get the codes.

So you have to log in to Shopalize to get the list of coupon codes to create or the list of users which are to be rewared with the 10% off coupon because the Shopalize system has tracked that they have met the criteria of sharing? Guess it depends on how effective this would be, but the store I have this addon in mind for wouldn't embrace the idea of more manual work to do.

The way I did it was:

  1. Set up a campaign in Shopalize that generates one code for everyone who shares a product (not unique codes for each customer). Within that campaign, set up a “Friend” code so that the friend you share the product with also gets a 10% off code.

  2. Set up these 2 coupon codes in CS-Cart backend giving 10% off any order that uses either coupon.

Not to much manual work. Takes about 5-10 minutes.

I set the codes to expire at the end of the month…I guess I need to state that somewhere in the process.

Ah, so it is relatively simple then. I was thinking you had to create a coupon code using a code from your Shopalize account. Using one code for each type - customer and friend - sounds easy enough and setting it to expire every month is a good idea too. Obviously it's only a matter of time before somebody twigs on and posts the 10% off coupon somewhere and then everybody would be using the code, so changing the coupon code frequently is a good idea.

Very well priced addon, guess you've answered my qualms so time to jump in with both feet. Thanks Edward.

Uh, yes you do have to use the same code in both places–Shopalize account and CS-Cart…sorry if that was not clear. Shopalize “suggests” a code but you can change it to whatever you want.

So you create a 10% off coupon in CS-Cart, “SOCIAL10OFF” still have to log in to Shopalize and change the coupon for every order?

No, I don't believe so. I did the Shopalize stuff first. Set up the discount and the two codes, then logged into CS-Cart and created coupons there with the same codes.

As far as I know that's it.

Hopefully Jeremy will correct me if I'm leading you astray…

Good Afternoon,

You can create a coupon campaign in CS-Cart with an expiry period and assign a coupon code (general) and then create the campaign in Shopalize with that code so that they are synced.

There should be 2 coupon codes for each campaign as you are offering incentives for the person who found the deal and for any of their friends that they refer.

Thanks for clearing that up Jeremy, expect a purchase shortly.

I had to extend this a couple of more days, but it is coming soon as Shopalize-Plus (which is going to be a different release package due to the amount of additional coding)

Individuals who purchased the Shopalize Product Sharing addon will be able to upgrade for the difference in cost.

The Purchase sharing addon is proving to be problematic at best. The issue arise because Shopalize requires you to include an image URL for the purchase sharing extension and the method that CS-Cart uses to assign images to products is very convoluted.

Admittedly I have not found a direct way to link the Order confirmation page (which contains no reference or images) to the app. All other data is populated as expected with the integration.

Most recently I have used AJAX to pull images from a PHP file that links images and products.

I will continue to work on this after a brief vacation.

I like the add-on and that it puts the sharing over on the right. Any update on the Plus version?
