Login to your admin panel. Settings > General > Administrator must activate new user accounts

In Setting>General:

Allow shopping for unlogged customers - change from 'Allow' to another one of the two options, your choice.

Disable anonymous checkout - Uncheck

Administrator must activate new user accounts - Check

To block access to all of your content…

Set all the relevent content (Categories, Products, Pages, etc) to be available for 'Registered' user group only, not the default 'All' setting. You'll find this setting at the bottom of the Edit Category/Product/Content page.

Thanks for answers. It works. But is not possible to show directly login screen first, when visitor come'

Is this what a person would do if they wanted to build a second store for selling products to resellers? I'm a book publisher/distributor and every time a reseller wants to buy products from me at a discont to resell, I have to set them up with a discount code for the products they want, or a gift certificate, or some way of giving them the discount. Perhaps if I created a duplicate store and had it all locked down this way, that would solve my problem. However, then I'd have two inventories to deal with. Hmmm…

Create a “Resellers” User Group and set the discount $ or % accordingly. The Reseller then logs in and can buy at the specified discount prices without causing you any hassle.

Really didn't mean to hijack this thread…

Grant, I've tried that, but I have some products that get a volume discount to regular customers, and the way you suggested gives the wholesalers a bigger discount on those products. Plus, many of my products are slightly discounted to ordinary customers, so I really need the discount for resellers to be off of the list price, NOT the price I'm selling the stuff for. If CS-Cart would allow a discount to be set based on the list price that would be great, but they don't.

You should be able to do this using User Groups, promotions and some promotion overrides. New thread time to help others with the same problem.

I decided to use password protected folders by hosting. Thanks for all answers.

I can recommend this, works a treat for resellers. Set up a second store in a sub folder called something generic like “trade” or something

Then add all your product info to it,easy enough via export import this will be just for re sellers so also add disallow for the search engines in .htaccess or whatever so you dont get duplicate content problems. .

they get a message as soon as they enter the home page to register, but presumably you would have only pointed legitimate “trade” customers to your sub folder anyway.

You can also create usergroups in this generic site so one customer who spends £100K a year with you gets better prices then the one who spend 10k
