Currently Yotpo is not available for platforms that support multiple stores, CS-Cart is not the only platform that is affected. We are looking into ways around this issue but currently there are no plans to support CS-Cart Ultimate.

I am really surprised that there are plans in the near future. Since not only CS-CART but also other shopping platforms like Magento are going multi-store, I think this is a opportunity. Multi store solutions are way more efficient than single store.

But, if the Yotpo solution is available Multi store please let us know.

katoikidio, we are aware of your issue and busy working on it. I really am sorry for the delay in handling this. The entire support team and our CS-Cart expert are aware of the seriousness of this issue. Once we have an update we will let you know.

After extensive attempts to resolve this issue, our CSCart specialist has found an exception an while trying to use a core function of CSCart which is supposed to retrieve a value in the database for a setting that is local to Yotpo model. While trying to access this value in your account he receives an exception that the table which owns the value doesn't exist in the database which causes the page to crash. He has made multiple attempts to find a way to fix it and cannot find a solution as it is specific to your site and server only.

We apologize extensively for how long it has taken - we make every attempt to resolve any bug in our system and have worked very very hard on your ticket. It is difficult for us to access tickets and handle them effectively without active credentials and a few times he was blocked from your system which slowed down the process a bit, but after receiving them he worked efficiently and was unable to reach a resolution.

We apologize again that you are unable to use Yotpo. We wish we could have supported your site.

So, coming back to this. Against a service like TrustPilot, eKomi, Feefo, etc, Yopto doesn't seem to offer a vastly different experience. Fundamentally, the product offering is the same. Some nifty extra features, but at the end of the day it does the same job as the aforementioned. Except Yotpo is free. It also doesn't (yet) have Google's approval in terms of counting towards Google reviews (for Local or for Adwords), so does nothing for improving site rankings in Google. It's free. That almost sounds too good to be true. The biggest problem:- Yotpo doesn't charge a penny for the service (unless you get +1m page views per month) and all reviews become the property of Yotpo. If it wasn't for this - and I'd quite happily pay for the Yotpo service otherwise - I'd sign up in an instant.

I guess 2+ weeks since katoikidio posted and didn't get any response here, Yotpo have ditched CS-Cart already. Will it ever be V4 compatible? Will there ever be a paid model - or even better, a free model - which would safe guard our hard work in gaining customers and their reviews in the first instance?

Compared to the great services you mentioned, we generate the most amount of reviews and we are the only ones who use these reviews to drive traffic to your site.

Other advantages of Yotpo:
  • Our mail after purchase emails let reviewers leave reviews directly in the email, where as our competitors don't.
  • We also offer coupons to help incentivize your customers to write reviews.
  • We have built an advanced algorithm to share your best reviews at the best times.
  • We let you upsell your products within the emails we sent out.
  • We show a number of statistics on specifically how many additional sales you are generating thanks to Yotpo.
2. It also doesn't (yet) have Google's approval in terms of counting towards Google reviews (for Local or for Adwords), so does nothing for improving site rankings in Google.

Currently we offer full rich snippet support on a number of platforms and are currently working on showing the aggregated star rating within Google Adwords.

Our terms of service are standard in the reviews space but we are updating it in order to make things clearer. The reviewer owns the content, because he or she wrote it and both the store owner and Yotpo can use the content, this is necessary for us to provide our service to our users. We are a startup which has raised over 3 million dollars so currently our focus is on growth but we are experimenting with different business models.

We worked with katoikidio both via the forum and email and unfortunately was not able to help him with the conflict that he was experiencing. We do our very best to help all our customers but once in a while something comes up which we cannot help with.

Thanks for clarifying, I agree somewhat with everything you have said with the exception of the above. This isn't true as I have used a review system in the past which did. Unfortunately for this other company, I wouldn't dare to want to give them any custom whatsoever so will refrain from naming them, but rest assured Yotpo are not the only reviews company offering this service. My question on this, is how do you display the star rating in the list view on the product catalog? People search using these views. The current addon displays the average star rating at the list view level in the catalog. How would we display to the visitor that this product has received X reviews with X stars in the list or grid view?

On anther note, it's been proven that boolean ratings are more effective than star ratings. This is why youtube, the second most searched site on the internet moved from star ratings to a simple 'thumbs up, thumbs down.' system. Have you guys considered this?
