Hi Guys,
We just launched on Cs-Cart today over at www.poolsuppliescanada.ca and we have had to disable every order confirmation.
What happens is when the system goes to send out an email instead of placing the order we get a error page.
no order is placed, it is logged as imcomplete and and we get a 500 page error.
If we go to update an order status and have email the customer it says error and does not update the status
but if we turn off the email it lets us update the order status no problem.
Any suggestions?
i have tried everything.
WE are currently using Gmail as our system (we do not have the SSL Up yet)
and have followed the online gmail setup guide and get the OK from the test program.

505 HTTP Version Not Supported
- The server does not support the HTTP protocol version used in the request
Haven't (yet, touch wood) seen this error myself with CS-Cart. I assume your Gmail account is set up in Settings>Emails as an SMTP server? SSL authentication is required for Gmail, therefore this may explain the cause.
i have the SSL up now
and followed this setup file
and get the Ok
www.poolsuppliescanada.ca/mail.php
i used this guide
CS-Cart Documentation — CS-Cart 4.15.x documentation
Any other steps to try and fix this? it stops all payment methods?
The exact error message i get is
"Server Error
the website encoutned an error while retrieving https://www.poolsuppliescanada.ca/. it may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
here are some suggests reload
HTTP error 500 (internal server error:) an unexpected condition was encounted while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
Just tried using the PHP mailer and got the same errors.
Any suggestions?
Thank You

Just tried going to the link you posted and get a ssl issue. So it does not appear that your ssl is installed properly. Work with your host to resolve.
SSL seems to be working fine, site redirects you off SSL if your not in the cart section. Could you provide more details?

@poolsupplies… Note that if you've ever added an 'exception' for your site you'll have to "un-except' it in your browser. Really, we're not blowing smoke at you.

no i completely agree it is not installed properly im just completely unsure of how or why its doing it i have no clue what causes this or even what it means.
After Careful review i officially believe that the SSL issue and the Email issue are separate because we can send out emails with out an SSL off our test server but we can not off our live server.
i have created another forum for the SSL over here.
SSL issues with CS Cart - Issues & Troubleshooting - CS-Cart Community Forums
I have also reported the Email issue to CS-Cart themselves but i am hoping for a faster response anybody have any ideas regarding that?

The email issue has been fixed
Greg, I just went to the URL you provided and Firefox presented it's Invalid SSL screen and gave me the option of adding an exception (which I did not [and do not] take).
Could you take a screen shoot so i can pass along to somebody with better tech experience then me. I have tried to reproduce on firefox, IE, Chrome and Safari and all looks good when i go i cleared cache and even tried a new computer.
I don't have any problems, Firefox 18.0.1. I have no SSL exceptions for your domain and can connect to https without any errors or warnings.
