Favicon does not change Rate Topic   - - - - -

I followed the steps described in http://kb.cs-cart.co...placing-favicon, even used the suggested favicon creator. Cleared browser and cs cart cache but the new favicon is not displayed.

In Chrome -> default favicon still displayed.
In Firefox -> no favicon displayed
In IE -> IE favicon displayed.

Hope someone here can shed some light on this matter. Thx in advance

View the page source and click the link for the favicon, if it comes up correctly, then you need to clear your web browsers temporary files and cache properly.

A CS Cart installation has a few different favicons - there is a different favicon for both the administrative side and customer front end, so it could be even that the favicon was just replaced in the wrong folder.

Normally clearing the cache would fix an issue like this so aside from the location of the favicon I'm a bit stumped. I would also try clearing your browsers local cache as it could be cached on your computer as well.

This results in a page (domain/skins/basic/customer/images/icons/favicon.ico/) with the message "Error occurred: 404 - not found".
There is a favicon.ico located at domain/skins/basic/customer/images/icons.

mine does not have the DOMAIN part in the href......had to clear my cache several times in chrome to get it to work

Sorry for the late reply. I submitted a support ticket and cs-cart solved the issue. A redirect in the htaccess caused the problem.
The first cs-cart project for our new dutch company Sooned was a dutch erotic webshop called eely.nl.

Which was the problem exactly with htaccess? I have the same issue with Chrome and the appearance of favicon. Please help me.
