Review & Compare PHP Shopping Cart, CS-Cart is the best!

I made a table to compare cs-cart, magento, prestashop, x-cart, cubecart, opencart, axiscommerce and shopware, CS-Cart is the best!

However, I would expect that “Product Reviews” and “Image Uploader” on cs-cart to be improved

Wow very well done, thanks for doing that.

Magneto ? pushed by developers because it makes a nice “look” and has many plugins but the cost to make it usable is far more then any other cart on the market, particularly for none USA sites.

This is extremely well done! Thank you for this. I agree that the reviews need some work.

I am using XC and I can tell you did a poor evaluation of this shopping cart. Just an example of many you gave it 3 stars for Product Comparison. Well, my friend this is so bad. Comparing with all these solutions XC Feature Comparison is the most featured. Please try being observer, not addicted to a special software. Also some untrue things about Magento, Prestashop and Open Cart. Before call “CS-Cart is the best” do a deeper investigation and spend months with all these solution. I like CS-Cart, but in fact all have something that other don't. If someone will suck all good things from all and create a new platform, that one should be called “the best”.

if you want to change my mind, please give me your ratings of XC. :-)

IECSP you may want to add the new creloaded into you comparisons, they are moving away from base oscommerce code to produce something special and totally responsive. http://www.loaded7.com/

It is just an attempted off-shoot of opencart based on the VQMod framework, difference is it costs $700.00 plus to have any essential B2B features, nothing impressive there… Regarding having a “Responsive Design”, well, this is also a base feature in CS-Cart 4.x 8)

BTW, Albert, feel free to use my freakin review if you like!

Good idea, I’ll add this review.

Great, can't believe though that x-cart MVC framework is bad.

Interesting but there's a lot of subjective opinion in any list like that. I've used CS-Cart and CubeCart extensively and how you come up with some of your ratings (free shipping for instance) is beyond me.

cs cart will broken down if you have huge data. In my case I uploaded 1.5 lakh products and it went down, trying very hard to make it working but can't help. MySQL optimization, server optimization everything is done. Also done the changes suggested by cs cart team but no help. So CS cart is not for you if you have a big database, it can handle 5k to 6k products and not more than this. Planning to move to Magento

Not true. I have 2 stores each with 30,000+ products and 1 store with 60,000+ products all on shared hosting and they run just fine.

I can compare with ixxocart

I boutht cscart v2 and I am going to live 2 years and bit and I am satisfied cscar support helped me a few times

but I bought ixxocart 1.1.2012 and have nothing :-( my licence is banned my account does not exist on their website any more

here one web from their portfolio http://www.growfoo.com/ clearly hacked :-( I tried support but nothing no answer and honesty I am pretty sure they are probably one very big f scam :-( sorry

Dear James,

Thank you.

Ok lets get down to what really matters here.

Review Cs Cart as a Seo cart. Because that is what matters.

H Tags every where ect ect …

Only way to have a succseful ecommerce site is to mod the heck out of cscart. Time, money and more money.

And that is after spending hours figuring out cscart files ect … And spending considrable time on this site using the search function trying to find a answer if there is any.

NUMBER 1 reason should be Seo when buying a cart

Funny thing I notice about the forums is people more concerned with modding everything but SEO.

There are some but it is nominal.

So try basing your reviews on SEO… Cscart fails.

And if you think not I will gladly list many many seo failures of this cart. Some put in by the developers that make ZERO sense.

Go on then? it will help others, or do you just like a good moan

Not everyone markets through search engines or wants to give up a big percentage of their profits to Google AdWords.

Other marketing methods are much more effective and much less costly. However, SEO is basically free if you can keep up with its changes.

Be interested to hear your SEO complaints hopefully as a bullet list of problems with maybe an example link into the demo store (or your store) where the problem exists…

google is a good source of food, but they change fom meat to veggies to meat to rice to meat etc… you never know what they want and that't the point…

now they are doing equivalent mappings… the round ting that bounces will be in results for balloons.

don't put your biz on google only you will surely break and die.

as far as this review… you put CE magento VS paid CS-CART ?

why is that ?

we put more then the 15k a year in dev for cs-cart, as soon as we get it up theres a major version that breaks everything we wrote.

so from my side… i paid more then the price of commercial magento…

im running 4.0.1 and it doesnt even show the updates avail in panel. i have paid around 1k in licenses to cs-cart yet,

4.01 is running more smoothly and faster then all other versions… the key is not to mod the product pages to much because of the way it's written.

to much ajax that moves or acts upon DIVS and nothing is documented… so after 3-4 hours of work you could realize you needed that div you removed for this or that reason lol (like it could add a hidden option in it dynamically via jquery and you didnt know)

the problem with cs is communications, there are to many ways to communicate, feedback/forums/bugs/ideas etc…

they should concentrate on one and use it 100%, respond to emails before 4-7 days and basically FIX bugs before features

overall im satisfied with 4+ before upgrade i was about to switch to another platform

this one is fast and doest the job, i do have lots of clients that have checkout HANG while on transaction , but notghing shows in logs…
