One more question,if one of my sku(model) is out of stock, can i keep this product active,but show “out of stock” in product page,then it can not be added to shopping cart?

As far as I know if inventory is 0 zero then it will show 'out of stock' and product page is still active (also check zero price action under pricing/inventory)
the question is that i don`t where to active this feature .
i use 3.0.4 default skin,but no “in stock” or “out of stock” in product page

In fact ,i have not checked the “Enable inventory tracking” under setting–>general–>catague ,thank you anyway.
By the way ,if one of my product is out of stock ,how can we show “out of stock” in product detailed page, and don`t allow to add to cart in this condition? Anyone please help ,thank you

i get it again, uncheck “Allow negative amount in inventory:” under setting–>general–>catague ,thank you.
