Anybody interested in a DHL intraship add-on for the EU can contact me.
With this add-on you can make DHL intraship labels with one click, straight from cs-cart’s order page. Tracking code is being added automatically when the label has been generated.
With a small tweak in cs-cart’s template we can also make the tracking number clickable in the invoice email.
We have a test version up & running with DHL’s test environment and cs-cart 2.25 and it’s working great. We are now waiting for DHL to give their OK for the software.
After we have upgraded our shops to cs-cart v3 we will adapt the add-on for this version as well and start selling it to people who are interested.
This was a really shitty job - 2 developers almost tore their hair out because DHL’s api is one big mess. In the end we found the right code by trial & error.
If there is any interest I can also look into integrating other EU shippers or customize the add-on for these.

How does this addon manage volumetric weight and multi-package shipments?

- It doesn't - we have a very simple contract that allows us to ship huge boxes until 30kg, we have never had to use anything else then the weight. Also, we never ship more then 1 package per order.
- The customer receives a clickable tracking code in cs-carts invoice mail. It doesn't send out extra mails other than cs-cart status' mails. We don't think it's necessary flooding their mailboxes with mails from shipping companies. If they want to track, they simply click on the link.
