Cart empties upon checkout

I’m having a very severe problem with my cart. CS-Cart support says this is not a bug as the problem cannot be replicated with a fresh install.



Initially when a NEW visitor would “add to cart” their first item (without ajax “add to cart”) they would then be redirected to the shopping cart page but instead of listing the (recently added) item, the page would say “Your cart is empty” (with a continue shopping button). I’ve fixed that by using AJAX “add to cart”. Now the problem comes when a new visitor arrives and adds an item into their cart and then wants to checkout.



The customer’s information is then added (ie with no account) and the “continue” button is pressed. The cart then empties itself and a page displaying “Cart is empty…your cart is empty so you cannot proceed with checkout” can be seen. And this only happens on the first time an item is added, thereafter things seem to work fine, and you can also checkout fine if you login into your account (but not everyone will want an account).



This is quite a major problem and would cause would be buyers to go somewhere else.



I would be more than willing to pay someone (Pay Pal) for the solution / fix to this problem. Please PM me with a time frame and a rough estimate.

Is there a simple resolution to all of this?



Has cs-cart accepted this as a bug and was a fix provided in 1.3.5 sp4 ??



I think I might be experiencing this although I need a 3rd person to confirm it for me.

Since the V2 it isn’t a CS-Cart issue. It might be a script or php issue on your server.

I was having a similar problem with just chrome clearing the cart upon clicking the checkout link. When I cleared the site cache out it seemed to correct the problem. Not sure if it will help you but it sounds like a similar issue. Does it occur on all browsers??

I have confirm the issue with Chrome. Well, at least he mac version of Chrome.



The shopping cart clears when clicking on checkout.



Cookie issue. My guess it has do with the domain and path.

Works fine for me, but i get a warning that Every single product I add has ZERO inventory.



but i see all my items in my cart.

I have done this same thing for other issues and it has fixed it by clearing cache

Problem is with Google Chrome. Not FireFox.
