How do I change my Product Codes using the import feature

Hi, can you help me? I need to change my product codes without the need to delete and reupload all of my products. Is this possible?



If not, is it possible to have the same URLs for these products in case I need to delete/reupload?

The system uses product codes as the identifier, so if you upload new product codes, you'll just add new products.



The only way to do it would be to delete your existing products and upload new ones.



Just export your existing products - including the SEO name - and then match the old product codes with the new ones. Using Excel, you could sort or something.



Then, backup your existing database - you always want a backup - and delete all of your products. Once done, import your new list and you should be all set.



Of course if you have any custom blocks like related products or something, you will loose all of that as well as any reviews or whatever.

Thanks Brandon. I'll try the steps on the link you provided and see if that works. We prefer changing the codes than reuploading to avoid any complications. Thanks a bunch for responding.
