Select Option Behavior

I badly need my product options on the details page for products to work differently. I am using SEQUENTIAL options because I need to make sure the customer is forced to make a selection for each option.

The problem with SEQUENTIAL is the customer cant see the variant options available for the other options until they selected the previous option. I problem with that is I have a Size option that is first and color option that is second. I want my customers to be able to see the product is available in other colors without having to first select a size. They really need to be able to see all options.

Does anyone know how I could use either option type of SEQUENTIAL or SIMULTANEOUS but have the pre-selected option be “Please Select”.

yeah, I had the same problem, I ended up just adding, please select as a variant in the option, not ideal but very rare do my customer not choose a colour.

So you are using what Product Option type Simultaneous for this one http://www.hivis.co.uk/high-visibility-class-3-bomber-jacket.html? You also just created a “Select” variant for each option?

yes simultaneous, and created a “select” as the first option in the .csv file.
