Can Orders be exported via XML?

Hi,

I have searched for quite a while now, but I am unable to find any info on this.

I was hoping one of you could point me in the right direction.

I am looking fo a way to extract orders (customer info, bought products, payment info, payment status, order status, etc.) and products (including inventory) to some sort of xml file which would be updated after each event in the store (eg. when a customer buys something, when an order is incomplete, etc.). Updates may be a manual action that the admin user initiates, or it may be a cron job.

I need this so I can make a connection between our inventory and finance backend.

Even more welcome would be an option where the information is sent two-way.

Maybe my description is not correct on this matter, but if you have a clue: please share!

If there are any developpers out there: I am willing to pay for this information, as long as we (you) can get it working. (Obviously).

Kind Regards,

JJ.

Hi,

We have done this two-way with CS-Cart and our ERP (Tradepoint 360). What ERP or accounting package are you using?

Best regards,

Hi,

We use accounting software called Exact Globe. It also keeps track of our complete inventory (as we have more than one shop to maintain).

Did you do this by yourself, or did you hire someone to do it for you?

Regards,

JJ.

We did it ourselves. It took a lot of time to tweak out the bugs but once it's fine tuned it works fairly well. Right now it synchronizes inventory, products and product categories.

You can see screenshots of it in this thread:

I've never heard of Exact Globe. Does it have an API or web service that it can tap into?

Cheers,

Hi,

Yes Exact Globe works with API and webservices (we currently have it working with Interspire Shopping Cart and 8 shops).

By the look of it, I have to make room for a lot of free time (which we do not have) or hire a pro to do this. I really would not know where to begin if I have to start at zero.

:-/

JJ.

Yeah, it can be tedious and time consuming to get these things right. It depends if you want it don thoroughly or quick and dirty. With us, we built a strong sync with all sorts of exception handling to catch synchronization errors and email them to us so that we're not in the dark about what's going on.

Who built your integration with Interspire?

I would offer you our services to help you out, but we are booked solid for several months. I'm also afraid of quoting on projects like this because project costs can spiral out of control if you have no prior experience with the software.

Agreed with the last part. You should at least have some experience with both platforms.

Will sort it out over here. Thank you for your time.

Regards,

JJ.

Hi Matt80,

No, that would be exactly not what I am looking for.

I need to export orders to some sort of xml so my backoffice can work with it.

Thanks though.

Regards,

JJ.
