paypal icon doesn't show up on checkout page

Hi all,

On my checkout page paypal icon doesn't show up.

Is it suppose to be like this ?

If yes, any minor workaround for showing the icon near payment methods.

regds,

paypal_no_icon.png

you have to place the icon there yourself.

in the paypal payment settings, under the general tab, at the bottom there will be a link to

upload an icon, just grab one from the paypal site

Create a Custom PayPal Logo and Buttons | PayPal UK

the only place the paypal icon turns up by default is if you have express checkpout enabled

and that button / logo shows up at the main basket page.

Did that already but the icon doesn't show up.

I have the same problem. Did anyone figure out why the uploaded images arent visible?

Hello all,

Thank you for your messages.

In order to display the payment icon next to its name on the checkout page you should do the following:

  1. In your CS-Cart admin panel, go to Administration > Payment Methods.
  2. On the opened page, click on the Edit link of the necessary payment method.
  3. Upload the necessary payment icon in the Icon section and click the Save button.
  4. Use the provided code changes from the following Knowledge base article:

    http://kb.cs-cart.co…g-payment-icons

    Please check it.

    Thank you.

Pavel, I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with the payment icons. Please see

Hi Pavel,

It’s still a mystery to me as to why things are working that way even though Bolean says it’s working as designed.

So it’s showing a payment icon if you have only one payment method. But if you select two, it’s not showing an icon. Isn’t that weird?!

I tried this with 2checkout: If there are several payments on a tab and at least one of them has a checkout type (e.g. Amazon checkout), all methods on the tab are displayed with icons.

But still couldn’t get it to show the icon if I selecten more then 1 method

This will lead to lots of confusion.

My solution: simply always show the icon, unless a payment method doesn’t have one :)

Hello Flow,

Thank you very much for your message.

Though this issue is not considered as a bug in standard CS-Cart, I have forwarded this idea as a feature request to our engineers. They will certainly consider it and most probably it will be added to one of the next CS-Cart releases.

Until that the only way to achieve this is to use the instructions from the mentioned Knowledge base article.

Thank you.

Thanks for considering this as built-in feature so the customers can avoid future core file modifications.

Great Pavel!

I think the problem is mostly that it's inconsistent. It should simply show, or not show icons.

Will this issue be resolved in 3.1.1?

This would be very welcome.

We we will do our best to implement it in CS-Cart version 3.1.1.
