I am using ver 3.0.1 and when I tried to change the template of my banner from carousel to original
vice versa, I am getting the following error:
Oops, something went wrong (parsererror). Please try again
Please help me to fix this.
find out what was causing this yet? it does it to me sometimes but not all the time

Check your 'error_log' file in the root of your CS-Cart installation.

It should be somewhere like in the screenshot.
