Can anyone assist with some instructions on how I can remove the copyright info at the bottom and replace with mine? Thanks in advance
I beleive in the lengguages section you can do a search for CS-Cart and then you’ll be able to edit the words there, you may also be able to edit the templates directly which I think it is bottom.tpl…
Hi,
Would doing this break any licensing rules for the software as I too would prefer it not to be there
Thanks
No, it can be removed

You own the license for your store. Do what you want is the simple rule.
Just don’t redistribute the package on domains that don’t have a license set.
Thanks Jesse
Time to mix it up a little

You will have to edit the ‘cscart_shopping_cart’ in languages with your own text, so just drop that text into Search for pattern:
and also
edit cs-cart’s link from within /skins/what_ever_skin_u_use/customer/bottom.tpl at the bottom
It looks like this

{$lang.copyright} © {if $smarty.const.TIME|date_format:“%Y” != $settings.Company.company_start_year}{$settings.Company.company_start_year}-{/if}{$smarty.const.TIME|date_format:“%Y”} {$settings.Company.company_name}. {$lang.powered_by} Link is Here{$lang.cscart_shopping_cart}
Though i have removed the link altogether.
Yeh I sorted it right away once I knew I was allowed :D. I put my own links in and took out the powered by part
The meta author is also set to cs-cart.com
Can someone search on that to target cs-cart?
If so, where can I change it?

You may want to edit the meta.tpl file located in the root of your skin
I’m using V2.0.12…where should i change the cs-cart.com url link as there is no bottom.tpl file in any skin(customer) folder?

Are you REALLY sure about that?
It’s directly under Views FOLDER!!!
I’m new to CS-Cart. i’m using aquarelle_red skin. I only see 3 css files + images folder in var\skins_repository\aquarelle_red\customer on my local PC. Would you please guide to the exact location to find this bottom.tpl file.
Thank you.
You can find all this information in the Knowledgebase - CS-Cart Documentation — CS-Cart 4.15.x documentation, along with lots of other handy information that will help you design your store.
You will find the bottom.tpl file in the aquarelle_red/customer folder.
I don’t think you are meant to touch the files in the var\skins_repository folder as I think (but am not sure) that these are backup files to use if you need to restore anything. Whatever these files in the var\skins_repository folder are for, they are not the ones you are meant to change.
Hope this helps.
Thanks everyone. Got what i needed. My bad, i must read the KB instructions carefully.
